Rep. Adrian Smith, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Nebraska’s 3rd district, shared several updates on June 6, 2025, through his social media account. His posts covered legislative actions, historical commemorations, and interactions with young agricultural leaders.
On June 6, 2025, Rep. Smith expressed his support for the American Entrepreneurs First Act by stating that he backed its passage to ensure that “@SBAgov loans are directed to American small business owners”. He emphasized that this move by the House GOP aims to increase government transparency and stimulate economic growth.
In another post on the same day, Rep. Smith paid tribute to American soldiers who participated in D-Day during World War II. He wrote: “Today we honor the actions of courageous American soldiers who stormed the beaches of Normandy.” He highlighted their role in changing history and initiating Europe’s liberation from Nazi control.
Later that day, Rep. Smith shared his experience meeting students from Broken Bow and Pleasanton attending the Washington Leadership Conference. As a member of the Congressional FFA Caucus, he remarked: “It was a delight to see @NationalFFA students…I always enjoy hearing how #FFA is developing future leaders in agriculture.”
Adrian Smith has been a member of Congress since 2007 after succeeding Tom Osborne. Born in Scottsbluff, Nebraska in 1970 and currently residing in Gering, Smith holds a BA from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln.
