Former Hastings Senior High School standout and current Omaha Mavericks player, Sammy Schmidt will compete in the NCAA Division I Softball Championship.

They begin the tournament as a number two seed against the second seeded California Golden Bears.

The first game is on Friday, May 16 at 2:05 p.m.
