8.9% of households in Max received food stamps in 2020

Max ranked 221st in Nebraska for the percentage of households receiving food stamps in 2020, according to U.S. Census Bureau data.

There were four Max households (8.9 percent) who received food stamps. Max's population was 134 in 2020.

The city with the largest percentage of households receiving food stamps in the state was King Lake, which had 20 of 29 households receiving food stamps, 60.1 percent more than Max. In 2020 the population of King Lake was 39.

The city with the lowest percentage of households receiving food stamps in the state was Ceresco, which had two of 468 households receiving food stamps, 8.5 percent less than Max. In 2020 the population of Ceresco was 1,343.
