The Nebraska-Kearney men's cross country/track & field team ranked 12th in the national program rankings.
The U.S. Track & Field/Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) awards points to teams based on their finish at NCAA Division II championships in cross country and indoor and outdoor track. The higher the finish, the lower the point total.
UNK finished 25th at the NCAA cross meet in November 2021, 19th at the national indoor meet in March and 23rd at the outdoor national outdoor meet (24 points) in May for a total of 68 points. The Central Region showed its strength by having five of D2's top 12 teams. Grand Valley State of Michigan ranked first (five points) with Adams State of Colorado a distant second (18).
