A Joint Public Hearing is scheduled to start at 6:30 p.m. on Monday September 26, 2022 at the Buffalo County Board of Commissioners Board Room located at 1512 Central Avenue Kearney, NE.
As required by LB 644, this is a new hearing for any county, city, community college or school district that is seeking to increase its property tax request by more than the allowable growth percentage.
Several political subdivisions will be in attendance to make presentations about their intent to increase their property tax request by more than the allowable growth percentage and the effect of such request on the political subdivision's budget.
Following the presentations, there will be a public comment period.
