Share The Warmth this winter

The Hastings Utilities Department and the Salvation Army are teaming up again this year to keep families warm all winter long.

The Share The Warmth program is back and runs from Dec. 1 to April 30.

The program provides security to those in the community who may be unable to afford their utility bill during the colder months. The program was designed in coordination with The Salvation Army, Catholic Social Services and Community Action Partnership of Mid-Nebraska. It was specifically tailored to assist the following people:

  • Individuals 60 years of age or older
  • Individuals with disabilities
  • Anyone experiencing unusual needs
HOW TO DONATE

To donate to the Share The Warmth program, Hastings Utilities customers can fill out the form at hastingsutilities.com or directly at https://bit.ly/2Xlvsk8. Customers can indicate a specific contribution to be added to their bill each month ($2, $3, $5, $10 or “Other”). Funds collected for Share The Warmth will be sent directly to the Salvation Army for distribution.
