The City of Kearney Sanitation Division announces that due to winter weather conditions, the following changes will be in effect for the Kearney Area Solid Waste Agency Landfill and the refuse collection system:
- Commercial businesses that normally have trash collection service on Thursday will be collected on Friday, December 23. Please remove the snow and ice from around the trash containers to help ensure proper collection.
- Residential trash collection scheduled for Thursday, December 22 will be collected on Friday, December 23. Residential trash scheduled for Friday, December 23 will remain on schedule.
- Residential recycling normally collected on the 4th Thursday will be collected Thursday, December 29. Recycling scheduled for Friday, December 23 will remain on schedule.
- The Kearney Area Recycling Center & Solid Waste Agency Landfill will be closed. The Solid Waste Agency Landfill will reopen on Friday, December 23.
