Grand Island Casino Resort opened its temporary casino facility at a ribbon cutting ceremony with several state and local officials in attendance.
Grand Island is quickly becoming an entertainment hub, with Fonner Park, Heartland Events Center, the Nebraska State Fair and now the Grand Island Casino Resort. These attractions draw people to our community. Visitors shop, eat, and purchase products and services here, impacting the local economy.
The temporary casino is in the concourse of Fonner Park, featuring approximately 300 slot machines, kiosks for horse betting, and a snack bar. Construction on the full resort is expected to begin in the fall of 2023.
