The All-Nebraska Junior College Golf Challenge, which was scheduled to take place Tuesday at Centura Hills Golf Course in Cairo, is being moved to McCook's Heritage Hills Golf Course.

"If you are close enough come out and watch and support the MCC golf team," said MCC Coach Tyler Loop.

If the forecast holds, tee-off time Tuesday will be sometime around 10 a.m.

This is a tournament that has been in the making for several years and had been scheduled in October but postponed because of weather issues.

For MCC, Loop said this is an opportunity to play against teams they don't normally see. All four Nebraska Junior College teams are expected to participate. MCC will be joined by Southeast Community College, Central Community College and Northeast Community College.

This will be the final tournament before the Region IX schedule resumes March 23 at Lamar, Colo.

MCC finished the fall portion of the year-long schedule in first place in Region IX, leading Eastern Wyoming 54-51 in standings points. MCC received first-place points in four of the six fall tournaments and second in the other two. Teams receive 10 points for each tournament win, seven points for second, five for third, three for fourth, two for fifth and one for sixth place. Otero Junior College, Northeastern Junior College and Central Wyoming are all tied for third place with 20 points and Lamar is sixth with 18 points.

In the individual standings MCC's Ethan Gough (sophomore, Pietermaritzburg, South Africa) tops all players in Region IX with 50 points, two ahead of George Cordall of Eastern Wyoming. MCC freshman Cade Cryer (Durban, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa) is third in the region with 37 points. Cayden Wynne (sophomore, Lincoln) is tied for sixth place with teammate Brayden Dahl (sophomore, Outer West Durban, South Africa) with 16 points each and sophomore Jordan Bingham (South Jordan, Utah), is in 10th place with 12 standings points.
