Washington, D.C. – Congressman Adrian Smith (R-NE) has announced the commencement of the 2024 Congressional Art Competition, inviting high school students from Nebraska’s Third District to submit their artwork by Friday, March 22nd.
"The Congressional Art Competition is an annual opportunity for young Nebraskans to showcase their artistic talents to U.S. Capitol visitors from around the country and world," Smith expressed. “I look forward to partnering with the Nebraska Art Teachers Association to review this year’s submissions.”
In collaboration with the Nebraska Art Teachers Association, Smith is overseeing the coordination of the competition. Interested participants can find the official rules, guidelines, and submission forms on Congressman Smith’s website: adriansmith.house.gov/services/art-competition.
The winning artwork will be showcased in the U.S. Capitol, alongside other winning entries from across the nation, while the runners-up will be displayed in Smith's Washington, D.C. and Third District offices.
The Congressional Institute sponsors the Congressional Art Competition annually, providing high school students from all fifty states, the District of Columbia, and U.S. territories the opportunity to participate.
