Washington, D.C. - Today, the office of Rep. Adrian Smith (R-NE) disclosed the guidelines for Third District communities and public entities to request Fiscal Year 2025 (FY25) Community Project Funding (CPF). The applications deadline is set for 1:00 PM CDT/12:00 PM MDT on Wednesday, May 1, 2024.

FY25 funding is limited, and not all eligible requests will be granted. Projects seeking funding must adhere to specific criteria established by the House Appropriations Committee. They must have a clear federal connection as part of a legislatively authorized program, show community backing, exclude for-profit entities, and not be commemorative in nature, among other requirements. Projects that receive funding are subject to potential audits by the Government Accountability Office.

Interested parties looking for more details regarding the CPF process are advised to reach out to Congressman Smith’s Washington office at (202) 225-6435.
