"Jay Dunlap was a highly accomplished Nebraskan who loved his community and gave back wherever he could," Smith stated. He praised Dunlap's roles as a family man, veteran, and executive, noting that "his service and work ethic are lifelong testaments to Nebraska values."
Smith also commended Dunlap's impact on Union Bank and Trust, crediting him with helping build it into a leader in community banking and industry innovation. He extended condolences to Dunlap's wife Shirley and their family.
