The Nebraska congressional delegation has announced the schedule for the 2025 Nebraska Breakfast. This event, which is known as the longest-running congressional delegation meeting in history, will continue its tradition of bringing Nebraskans together on Capitol Hill.
Representative Adrian Smith (R-NE), who is hosting this year's breakfasts and serves as the dean of the Nebraska congressional delegation, was joined by Senators Deb Fischer (R-NE) and Pete Ricketts (R-NE), along with Representatives Don Bacon (R-NE) and Mike Flood (R-NE), to make a joint statement: "As the longest-running congressional delegation meeting in history, there is no breakfast like the Nebraska Breakfast. This gathering to celebrate our great state has continued since it began in the midst of the Second World War. We look forward to welcoming Nebraskans to Capitol Hill to participate in this cherished tradition during its record-setting 82nd year."
The breakfasts are scheduled to begin at 8:00 a.m. and will be held in the Dirksen Buffet located in the basement of the Dirksen Senate Office Building on various dates from February through October 2025.
The Nebraska Breakfast was initiated by Senator Hugh Butler in 1943 and remains a unique event on Capitol Hill. Complimentary coffee service will be provided during these gatherings.
Nebraskans interested in attending are encouraged to RSVP via Representative Smith's website or contact his Washington office at 202-225-6435.
