Today, Congressman Adrian Smith (R-NE) commented on the House of Representatives' approval of a legislative package supporting President Trump's initiatives. The bill aims to provide tax relief, enhance border security, promote energy abundance, and stimulate economic growth.

Smith stated, "Passage of this legislation is a hard-fought win for the American people and years in the making." He highlighted the collaborative efforts across various committees that led to fulfilling commitments to deliver tax relief and certainty for American families, seniors, small businesses, and agriculture producers.

The package includes measures championed by Smith to encourage investment in parental choice in education and terminate the IRS's Direct File program. According to Smith, "The bill prevents a more than $2 trillion tax increase on middle- and low-income Americans and opens the door to an historic era of American prosperity."

Smith urged Senate colleagues to pass the bill promptly so it can be signed into law by President Trump.
