Of the 91 people living in Smithfield in 2020, 40.7 percent (37) were women and 59.3 percent (54) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the SC Nebraska News.

Males 18 and over outnumbered females in the same age group by 15. In the 65 and over age range, there were nine females and seven males.
