Counterfeit Drugs

The Drug Enforcement Administration - DEA is seeing a nationwide spike in fentanyl related overdose events. In the last coupe months, law enforcement in and around the area has also seen an increase in fentanyl related overdoses and hospitalizations.

Fake prescription pills are easily accessible and often sold on social media and e-commerce platforms. Many counterfeit pills are made to look like prescription opioids such as oxycodone (Oxycontin, Percocet) Hydrocodone, (Vicodin) and alprazolam (Xanax) or stimulants like amphetamines (Adderall).
