City of Kearney Cemetery officials would like to announce a monument restoration and cleaning workshop, that is open to the public, to be held at the City of Kearney Cemetery on June 9, from 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. The workshop is free and pre-registration is not required. There will be hands-on demonstrations on how to clean monuments and what products to use. There will also be demonstrations on how the best way to level and repair monuments. Participants are recommended to bring a chair, water, snacks, and dress appropriately. The workshop will be led by Jonathan Appel, who has been restoring monuments and teaching other how to restore monument for over 20 years.
