We would like to congratulate Officer Koob Borgeling on his retirement. Officer Borgeling planned to work a few more years but his career was ended short after suffering a serious work related injury. Officer Borgeling came to the Hastings Police Department after retiring from the United States Army. Officer Borgeling started with the Hastings Police Department September 8, 2003 and served the community of Hastings and the Hastings Police Department for nearly 20 years.
Officer Borgeling was very loyal and dedicated to this community and agency, providing excellent services. He was a Field Training Officer for our agency and enjoyed the camaraderie of his fellow officers. Officer Borgeling enjoyed coming to work each day and showed this through his positive attitude and interactions with the community.
This day was celebrated with friends, family, and Hastings Police staff. Thank you for all of your dedicated service and professionalism. You will be missed!
